About the Fletcher Trust
The Fletcher Trust has been operating for over 35 years, having originated as a charitable trust to support activities in the communities in which Fletcher Holdings and then Fletcher Challenge Group companies operated. Now an independent charitable trust, the Trustees and staff are principally former Fletcher Challenge employees. It is administered by a Board comprising Angus Fletcher (Chairman), James Fletcher, David Sixton, Sir John Hood and Hugh Fletcher. The Trust is registered with the Charities Commission (registration number CC10657).
In addition to its philanthropic activities, The Fletcher Trust manages The Fletcher Trust Collection of New Zealand artwork, which forms part of its assets, and the Fletcher Trust Archives of material from the former Fletcher Challenge Group. The Trust also facilitates the Fletcher Challenge People & Clubs network and owns and manages The Fletcher House in Broad Bay, Dunedin.
